जब युवा सामाजिक बदलाव और बदलाव की राजनीति में भाग लेते है तो उनका सामना बहुत सारी मैदानी उलझनों और सवालों से होता है. इन उलझनों और सवालों का सामना करते हुए युवा के भीतर उस सन्दर्भ और स्थानीय मुद्दों की एक समझ पैदा होती है. इसी समझ के बल पर युवा नए नए प्रयोग करते हैं और नए रास्ते तलाशने का प्रयास करते हैं.
लेकिन अक्सर यह भी होता है कि सामजिक परिवर्तन के काम में लगे हुए कार्यकर्ता अपने काम में इतने व्यस्त रहते हैं कि उन्हें व्यापक राजनैतिक – आर्थिक – सामजिक मुद्दों का गहराई से अध्ययन करने का समय ही नहीं मिलता और कई बार युवा कार्यकर्ता अपने मुद्दों का सम्बन्ध इन व्यापक परिस्थितियों से नहीं जोड़ पाते हैं – और उस व्यापक समझ को अपने काम में शामिल भी नहीं कर पाते.
‘बुनियाद’ युवा सामाजिक और राजनैतिक कार्यकर्ताओं के लिए रचा गया एक कार्यक्रम है. यह कार्यक्रम ऐसे युवाओं के लिए तैयार किया गया है जो सामाजिक या राजनैतिक परिवर्तन के काम में सक्रिय हैं
15 दिन का यह कार्यक्रम प्रयास करता है कि ज़मीनी कार्यकर्ता की आज के राजनैतिक, आर्थिक, सामाजिक परिस्थितियों की एक व्यापक समझ बने . साथ ही अनुभवी कार्यकर्ताओं की संगत में सीखने, समझने और प्रेरणा का अवसर मिले. इसके अलावा इस कार्यक्रम में भिन्न परिवेश और मुद्दों पर काम करने वाले साथियों के साथ रहने का लाभ भी कार्यकर्ताओं को मिलता है

कार्यक्रम की विषयवस्तु : परिपेक्ष्य निर्माण
1.राजनैतिक संदर्भ:
सत्ता का स्वरुप? भारत के वर्तमान स्वरूप का ऐतिहासिक सफर क्या रहा है ? भारत किन आदर्शों के आधार पर बना था, संविधान के वायदे क्या हैं ? आज इनकी क्या हकीकत है ? राष्ट्र की परिकल्पना? लोकतंत्र के पांच स्तंभ किस तरह काम कर रहे हैं, आज लोकतंत्र के सामने चुनौतियां क्या हैं ? मीडिया का हमारे संघर्षों और सामाजिक आन्दोलनों से संबंध. नागरिक समाज, जन आन्दोलन और जन पहल. भिन्न राजनैतिक विचारधाराएँ और उनकी यात्राएं. लोकतंत्र के मजबूत होने की प्रक्रिया और विकेन्द्रीयकरण.
2. सामाजिक सन्दर्भ:
आदिवासी संघर्ष क्यों है? भारत में जाति का सवाल कितना प्रासंगिक है? दलित अस्मिता, अल्पसंख्यक मुद्दा, भारत की अदालतें और न्याय व्यवस्था. साम्प्रदायिकता की राजनीति, पितृसत्ता क्या है ? लिंगभेद की चुनौती, कश्मीर एवं पूर्वोतर के सन्दर्भ और क्षेत्रीय पहचान का मुद्दा, देश के बड़े सामाजिक आंदोलनों का अध्ययन और उनसे सीख.
3. आर्थिक एवं पर्यावरण सन्दर्भ:
विकास की अवधारणा कहाँ से आयी है ? अर्थव्यवस्थाओं का आज तक का सफर, शिकारी युग से सामन्तवादी, सामन्तवादी से पूंजीवादी युग, साम्यवादी प्रयोग, आज का पूंजीवाद. इसी सन्दर्भ में विकास की अवधारणा की राजनीति और उसका आज के जीवन और संघर्षों से संबंध. पर्यावरण का सवाल, इसका अर्थव्यवस्था और विकास से क्या संबंध है ? खेती का सवाल. प्राकृतिक संसाधनों की मिलकियत का सवाल
कार्यक्रम शैली:
अनुभवी कार्यकर्ताओ के साथ बातचीत, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताओं के अपने जीवन के अनुभवों, फिल्म प्रदर्शन, सामूहिक गतिविधियों के माध्यम से वर्तमान समय के मुद्दों पर अपनी अभी तक की समझ पर पुनर्विचार करने और उन मुद्दों पर समझ गहरी करने की कोशिश की जायेगी. इस कार्यक्रम के दौरान मुद्दों को समझना उनका विश्लेषण कर पाना और उसे सरलता से दूसरो को समझा पाने का हुनर विकसित करने का प्रयास किया जाएगा.

कार्यक्रम में शामिल होने की योग्यता:
1. यह कार्यक्रम युवा कार्यकर्ताओं के लिए है – जिनकी उम्र 25 से 35 साल के बीच हो.
2. कार्यकर्ता ने किसी सामाजिक संस्था, संगठन, जन आन्दोलन के लिए काम किया हो.
3. यह कार्यक्रम हिन्दी में होगा. अतः हिन्दी भाषा लिखने-बोलने-समझने की योग्यता होनी चाहिये .
कार्यक्रम का शुल्क:
इस कार्यक्रम का कोई निश्चित आवेदन शुल्क नहीं रखा गया है| अलबत्ता इस कार्यक्रम के आयोजक संभावना संस्थान को प्रति व्यक्ति 10,000 का खर्च वहन करना होता है , यदि आप या आपका संगठन संभावना संस्थान को भेंट या दान के रूप में राशि देगी तो इस कार्यक्रम के आयोजन में सहूलियत होगी परन्तु कुछ भी शुल्क न दे सकने वाले प्रतिभागियों का हार्दिक स्वागत है.

When the youth engage in initiatives of social and political change, they encounter numerous questions and contradictions on the ground. In facing these ground realities, they develop an understanding of the local issues and their context. Based on this understanding, they experiment, and attempt new ways of dealing with the existing socio-economic-political-envir
However, the preoccupation with localised environments and an overload of responsibilities within the movement or organisation often prevents a grasp of the larger socio-economic-political context we are all operating in. The young worker rarely finds time to study these ‘big-picture’ issues in any significant detail – thereby not developing the capability to make connections of local issues and efforts with the larger socio-political-economic context of today.
Buniyaad has been conceptualised for young social and political activists who have experience in initiatives of Change and the attempt is to broaden the understanding of ‘on the field’ activists regarding the interconnectedness of the social, economic, political spheres. The program offers an opportunity to be with, gain inspiration and knowledge from experienced activists. The participants also gain from share time and space at leisure with fellow activists working on diverse issues, across varying regions of the country.
PROGRAM CONTENT
PERSPECTIVE BUILDING
1. Our Political context
- The ‘State’ and its institutions. What is the historical context of contemporary India’s society and institutions? On what ideals was India created? What are the promises of the constitution? How have we fared vis-à-vis those promises? How are the five pillars of democracy functioning? How does power operate in these institutions? How is the media aiding/hampering our fights and social movements?
– Various political ideologies and their journeys. Civil society, peoples’ movements and citizen initiatives in today’s context.2. Our Social Context
– What is the nature and context of the tribal struggle in India today?
– How relevant is the caste question in 21st century India?
– Dalit Dignity, Minority issues, The Indian Courts and Justice machinery, Communal politics, Patriarchy and Gender Issues
– The context and reality of Kashmir and the Northeast – and the issues of regional identity.
– Lessons from some of the big social movements of our times3. Our Economic and Ecological context- The origins of the notion of ‘progress’ / ‘development’
– Economic History – from hunter-gatherer societies to feudalism to capitalism to socialism. The neo-liberal capitalism of today – and a look at ‘development’ in this context. Its effects on politics, society and life in general. Its relations to the social movements of today.
The program shall use a variety of methodologies including interactive lectures and discussions facilitated by subject experts, live experience sharing by activists, film screenings and collective reflection, readings and presentations, group and individual exercises, amongst others, to enable participants to reflect on their current understanding, and help deepen the same.

Eligibility for Participation:
- Applicants should preferably be in the age group of 25 to 35 years.
- The applicant must have experience of working with a social/political organisation, or social movement, or sangathan, or an NGO.
- The course would mainly be conducted in Hindi. The applicant must have a very good ability to read-write-understand Hindi.

We request that participants from organisations with financial support take care of these costs (fully or partially).
