Theater for Democracy

Sambhaavnaa Institute of Public Policy in association with Jana Sanskriti is hosting a workshop named ‘Theatre for Democracy’ for activists and theatre activists associated with people’s movements, trade unions and community based organizations across the country
between the 11th to 17th March 2018.

This workshop will be facilatated by the Jana Sanskriti team, with inputs from the All India Federation for the Theatre of the Oppressed. Through this workshop, each participant will experience and learn from exercises and

activities of the Theatre of the Oppressed. This workshop will also cultivate a space for inter-learning of activists and artists from across various movements across the country.

Who can apply for this workshop:Activists with atleast 3 years experience in community organization and works, and who have actively used art and theatre in their work for social change in the past can apply for this workshop. The medium of instruction for this workshop will be Hindi. Boarding, lodging will be at the Sambhaavnaa Institute of Public Policy and travel (Non AC train and bus tickets) will be reimbursed by the Institute.
