Practicing lawyers ( working in U.P ,Bihar, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan or  Chattisgarh) with 2-3 years  experience of working in the lower courts (specifically in criminal defence) and interested in defending constitutional rights, individual freedoms and civil liberties in these challenging times, are invited to apply for a 4 day residential workshop.

The workshop will be facilitated by eminent lawyers and human rights activists ( Including Prashant Bhushan, Anjali Bhardwaj, Nizam Pasha, Warisha Farasat, Shadan Farasat and other senior criminal law practitioners). The workshop will focus on giving a practical overview of criminal defence( investigation, arrest, bail, trial, accountability of public officials and public interest lawyering)

Medium of Instruction: Mainly Hindi

Persons from diverse marginalized locations, including women dalit, adivasis, persons with disabalities, vimukta  communities, religious, linguistic and ethnic minorities, persons marginalized on groups of gender and sexuality etc. are encouraged to apply.

Contribution towards Programs Costs: We hope that participants would contribute an amount of Rs. 3000/- towards workshop expenses, inclusive of all on-site workshop costs: boarding, lodging, and all the materials used in the workshop. Need-based partial waivers are available; we have a very limited number of partial waivers, so, please apply for a waiver only if you really need it. कार्यरत अधिवक्तागण ( उत्तर-प्रदेश, बिहार, गुजरात, मध्यप्रदेश, राजस्थान, छत्तीसगढ़, में ) जिनके पास निचली अदालतों में 2 -3 वर्ष का वकालती अनुभव (विशेषकर आपराधिक पक्ष के क्षेत्र में ) हो और जो इन चुनौतीपूर्ण समय में सवैंधानिक अधिकारों, व्यक्तिगत स्वतंत्रता और नागरिक स्वतंत्रता की रक्षा करने में रूचि रखते है , उन्हें एक 4-दिवसीय आवासीय कार्यशाला के लिए आवेदन करने के लिए आमंत्रित किया जाता है, जो की 4 से 7 अक्टूबर, 2022 तक संभावना संस्थान, पालमपुर, हिमाचल प्रदेश में आयोजित की जायगी 

कार्यशाला को प्रख्यात वकीलों और मानवाधिकार कार्यकर्ताओ ( शामिलान प्रशांत भूषण, अंजली भारद्वाज, निज़ाम पाशा, वरीशा फरासत एवं आपराधिक मुकदमों के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिवक्तागण) द्वारा  संचालित किया जायगा | यह कार्यक्रम मुख्य रूप से आपराधिक बचाव ( जांच, गिरफ़्तारी, जमानत, मुकदमा, लोक सेवक अधिकारियो की जवाबदेही और जनहित याचिका के क्षेत्र में वकालत इत्यादि ) के विषय पर व्यावहारिक अवलोकन / मार्गदर्शन देने पर केंद्रित होगी |

महिलाओं, दलितों, आदिवासियों, विकलांग व्यक्तियों, विमुक्त समुदायों, धार्मिक – भाषाई और जातीय अल्पसंख्यकों, लिंग एवं लैंगिकता तथा अन्य किसी भी प्रकार से उपेक्षित व्यक्तियों को आवेदन करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जाता है |
